FAMILY SESSIONS

I'm a big believer that family sessions should not be painful. (This is coming from someone who cried during family photos growing up!) Instead, family photos should be relaxed. They should be fun! And they should show off your family for who they really are. At the end, you should have photos that feel like you and help you remember how great your family is! Here's how we do that:

BEFORE:

I'll send over a planning questionnaire that will help us figure out the best location and date for your photos, as well as help me get to know your family and make a plan to show off your personalities during your session.

You'll get a copy of my family styling guide, and we'll create a moodboard that will help us have a solid idea of what will be happening on the day of, long before we actually get to that.

You'll have access to me to help with any questions or concerns you have, and you'll get a final email from me the week before your session confirming your date, time, and location and including any final instructions or guidance!

DURING YOUR SESSION:

I’ll be there early to meet you and start getting to know your family. We'll capture a mixture of posed and candid photos, you'll be able to take a step back from parenting and focus on enjoying your session while I direct kids.

We'll let them be themselves and have a good time, and it will be that much easier to get real smiles from them when it's time to get everyone looking at the camera. I'll make sure that no one's hair is too crazy!

We'll get several variations on a full family photo, as well as all the combos (you with the kids, you with your partner, just the kids, individuals, etc) we need.

We'll have an awesome time and your family will be captured beautifully and in their best light.

AFTERWARDS:

I’ll back up your pictures to a safe place and start editing. Expect your pictures to be colorful and bright! I like to keep colors true to how they felt and looked on the day of, and I really steer clear of making the photos we took look so trendy that they’ll be out of style when you show your grandkids.

After I edit, I’ll send you your pictures – my three favorites within 24 hours and the full gallery within 4-6 weeks! If you need any specific pictures sooner than that, definitely reach out to me and we can figure that out.

I'll send you my guide on how to print your photos so that they actually get used and seen regularly! And I'll offer to help you design holiday cards or your yearly family photo book.
