Weathington Park Engagement Photos | Emily and Houston

Some of my favorite moments from Emily and Houston’s Guntersville engagement session at Weathington Park:

  • When I had them run and jump into each others arms like they’d been apart, and they DID. They ran together and he swept her off her feet and it was ridiculously sweet. (They then told me about how they actually had been long distance for a couple years at the start of their relationship while they were in school at Auburn and Alabama)
  • Sitting on the bench at Weathington Park with Houston while Emily switched up her outfit, and asking him about when he knew he wanted to propose, and him telling me about how he knew for ages before he started making plans, and started making plans months before it finally happened
  • When we finally got the bubbly open and went to go shake it up and Houston went “I’ve always wanted to do this
  • Sitting watching the sunset with them over Guntersville lake and listening to Zach Bryan with them
  • They hadn’t officially decided on a first dance but when I asked about it, Emily said she had one she was thinking about, and we played Taylor swift’s Lover and they danced to it out on the rocky outcropping overlooking the lake.

Weathington Park is a perfect spot for engagement photos in North Alabama! It overlooks Guntersville lake, is a fantastic location to watch the sunset, and has just the right blend of romance and adventure to it.
